West Mid Agricultural Showground

Set in a stunning setting on the edge of the River Severn, the West Mid Agricultural Showground, off Berwick Road in Shrewsbury, is one of the oldest and most established showgrounds in the UK.

Home of the Shropshire County Agricultural Show 25th May 2013 and the Shropshire County Horse Show, 18th May 2013 the 53-acre ground lends itself to all sorts of events from a wedding reception with 100 guests to the four-day Shrewsbury Folk Festival – which attracted more than 20,000 visitors in 2011.

Whether you are looking for a venue for a business function or meeting, a concert, sporting activities or outdoor extravaganzas, we have the facilities available to ensure that your event runs smoothly and is a success.

The showground is a fully licensed venue with a friendly team to help with your planning and organisation. There is ample parking for more than 2,000 cars, more than 100 toilets, including disabled, a covered bar area, a pavilion with a balcony overlooking the main ring, stands and stalls.

 As an added bonus the venue is just a short walk to Shrewsbury town centre and railway station.
